BELLEVUE, WA — Asvin Mandadi, PE, joins HNTB as an Engineering Project Director and Associate Vice President in Seattle. Mandadi brings nearly three decades of experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects and programs — both domestically and abroad — to his new role.

“Asvin’s vast experience, leadership skills, and track record of delivering successful transportation infrastructure programs make him an invaluable addition to HNTB,” said Kris Agers, HNTB Office Leader for the region. “I am confident that Asvin will play a key role in driving our future growth and success.”

As a Project Director, Mandadi will be responsible for providing leadership for projects and programs with local and regional clients including the Washington State Department of Transportation, Sound Transit, Port of Seattle, and others. He will serve as Deputy Engineering Resource and Design Manager for WSDOT’s Fish Passage Program, which reconnects streams and restores fish habitat to maintain a healthy waterway ecosystem.

Prior to joining HNTB, Mandadi oversaw transportation infrastructure planning and design projects of various scales, encompassing highways, fish barriers, bridges, and light rail systems. His experience spans a range of project complexities, from small-scale initiatives to multi-billion-dollar programs.

Mandadi has a track record of managing, mentoring, and nurturing teams of planners, engineers, and environmental staff. He has also played pivotal roles in programs with a wide range of total installed costs, ranging from $125 million to $7 billion.
